NHK Culture] Composer Nobuo Uematsu and voice actor Wataru Hatano talk about the world of the occult! Talk Event to be Held in Tokyo｜Press Release by NHK Culture Center Inc.
A talk event on the theme of occultism by popular voice actor Wataru Hatano and Nobuo Uematsu, known for composing music for the “Final Fantasy” series and others, will be held at NHK Culture on January 25, 2025. Mr. Hatano is also well known as a lover of urban legends and has participated in the Mu-approved “Occult Karuta Reading CD. Uematsu-san, on the other hand, has continued his unique activities by reflecting his occult experiences in his music.
This special combination event in the occult world will be the center of attention not only for occult enthusiasts but also for fans from all walks of life. There will be onsite and online classes available, making it possible for those who live far away to attend!
The event will be filled with valuable content that you can only hear here, such as their encounters with the occult, their experiences, and the latest urban legends.

Wataru Hatano is known as one of the most popular “Mu-min” in the world of voice actors, appearing on the Mr. Urban Legend program and is also known as an occult enthusiast. He is also known as an occult aficionado, and has sold a Moo-approved “Occult Karuta Reading CD: Wataru Hatano”.
His representative works as a voice actor include “Nyanchu! Universe! Hoso Chu! ” Nyanchu(2nd generation) and Shigemo Haruta in “Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Jihen”.
Nobuo Uematsu, Composer
Nobuo Uematsu is a composer who has created innovative works in the world of game music.
He has composed music for many popular games, including the “Final Fantasy” series, “Blue Dragon,” “Terra Battle,” and “Granblue Fantasy.
(Quote) Nobuo Uematsu’s new project “Akari Gatari” will hold its first solo performance at Ritsugenji Temple in Tokyo on August 26. Tickets are now on sale to the general public.
