Membership Terms

The “Seiyu Journal Membership Agreement” (hereinafter referred to as the “Membership Agreement”) applies to the use of the [Standard Plan] and [Premium Plan] (hereinafter referred to as the “Paid Services”), and members who use these services are referred to as “Paid Members. If a member does not register as a paid member, the Membership Terms and Conditions do not apply.

Article 1: Application of Terms and Conditions

In registering as a paid member and using the paid services, a member agrees to the Media Terms of Service and then agrees to the Membership Terms of Service. Therefore, paid members shall be bound not only by this Membership Agreement but also by the Media Terms of Service, in which case the terms of the Media Terms of Service shall be applied by replacing “Service” with “Paid Services and the Service” and “Member” with “Paid Member” in the said agreement.

Article 2 Account Registration

Section 1. Upon agreeing to the TOS, those who wish to use the Service shall register certain information as specified by the Company (“Account Information”) in the manner specified by the Company, and may become a member and use the Service using the registered Account Information. At the time of registration, a contract for use of the Service in accordance with the TOS is established between the member and the Company, and the member may use the Service in the manner prescribed by the Company.

Section 2. The member agrees that the Company may send e-mails to the e-mail address registered by the member, informing the member of new features, updates, campaigns, etc., related to the service provided by the Company and services provided by third parties designated by the Company. Members also agree that we may send larger emails when necessary. The Service and the emails sent to you will explain how to set up your email preferences and consent to receive such emails.

The company reserves the right to refuse or terminate account registration at its own discretion for any of the following reasons

(1) When the company determines that there is a possibility of violation of these Terms of Use, or when there has been a violation of these Terms of Use.
(2) If there are falsehoods, errors, or omissions in all or part of the registration information provided to the Company
(3) If the member’s name registered as account information is not the member’s real name
(4) If a member’s registration to use the Service has been revoked in the past
(5) If the Member is a minor, an adult ward, a person under curatorship, or a person under assistance, and the Member has not obtained the consent of a legal representative, guardian, curator, or assistant
(6) When multiple accounts by the same member have been confirmed, or are deemed likely to be confirmed
(7) When a member uses or attempts to use the service for a purpose or in a manner that may cause damage to the Company, other registered users, or third parties
(8) In the event you interfere with the operation of the Service, regardless of the means used
(9) In the event of death, or in the event of a trial for commencement of guardianship, conservatorship, or assistance
(10) If the member has not used the Service for more than six (6) months and has not responded to communications from the Company
(11) If you are an anti-social force (meaning a crime syndicate, a member of a crime syndicate, a quasi-constituent of a crime syndicate, a person who has been a member of a crime syndicate for less than 5 years, a company affiliated with a crime syndicate, a general meeting house, etc., a gorilla for social or political activities, a special intelligence group, or any other group or individual who uses violence, force or fraudulent methods to pursue economic benefits. (The same shall apply hereinafter.) (11) If it is found that the registered user of the Company’s account is a person who is a member of the Anti-Social Forces (including a person who is not a member of the Anti-Social Forces), or is involved in any interaction or involvement with the Anti-Social Forces, including cooperation or involvement in the maintenance, operation or management of the Anti-Social Forces through financial provision or otherwise
(12) In any other cases where we deem it inappropriate to register or continue registration as a registered user.

Article 3 Paid Member Registration

A member who wishes to use the paid services may become a paid member by registering the necessary information using the designated form after agreeing to the Terms of Use. Upon registration as a paid member, a contract for use of the paid services in accordance with the Terms of Service is formed between the member and the Company, and the member is able to use the paid services in the manner determined by the Company. The monthly billing method or lump-sum payment method described in the following article will apply to the method of payment of the usage fee (according to the payment method specified by the Company).

Article 4 Usage Fees

  1. When a paying member uses a paid service, he/she shall pay the usage fee specified by the Company by the method specified by the Company. The usage fee and payment method can be confirmed on the Company’s website.
  2. The Company may revise the usage fees due to changes in the service contents, etc. In the event that the Company revises the usage fees, the Company shall notify the member of the revised fees. If the Company revises the usage fee, it shall notify members in advance by the prescribed method.
    If a paying member who has paid a monthly subscription fee withdraws from membership in the middle of the service period specified by the Company, the member will be charged one month’s subscription fee for the month in which the membership withdrawal date occurs. In addition, if a paying member registers again in the month in which the withdrawal procedure was completed, the member may be charged one month’s usage fee for each registration, depending on the payment method.
    If a paying member who has paid the usage fee in advance in a lump sum withdraws from the service during the paid service, the usage fee will not be refunded.
    In the event of late payment of the usage fee, the paying member shall pay the Company a late fee at the rate of 14.6% per annum.

Article 5 Password and Account Management

Members shall be responsible for managing and keeping their passwords and accounts, and shall not allow any third party to use their passwords or accounts, or lend, assign, transfer, change the name of, sell, or otherwise dispose of them.
Members shall be responsible for any damages caused by inadequate management of their passwords or accounts, errors in use, use by third parties, etc., and the Company shall not be liable for any such damages.
Paragraph 3. If a member discovers that his/her password or account has been stolen or used by a third party, the member shall immediately notify the Company and follow the Company’s instructions.

Article 6 Transfer of Status, etc.

Member may not assign, transfer, pledge as security, or otherwise dispose of Member’s status under the TOS or rights or obligations under the TOS to any third party.
In the event that the Company transfers the business of the Service to another company, the Company may transfer the TOS position, rights and obligations under the TOS, and Member’s registration and other information to the transferee of such business transfer, and Member agrees to such transfer in advance. The member shall be deemed to have agreed in advance to such transfer. The business transfer stipulated in this paragraph shall include all cases in which the business is transferred, including corporate divestitures and other business transfers.

Article 7 Withdrawal Procedures

In order to cancel a paid membership, a paid member must complete the cancellation procedure in accordance with the company’s prescribed procedure. In the case of a member who pays a monthly fee, the contract will be automatically renewed for the following month unless the cancellation procedure is completed by the end of the service period, and the paid member agrees to this.

Article 8 Handling after Termination of Contract

The contract between a paying member and the Company regarding use of the paid services is terminated when the paying member completes the withdrawal procedure. However, the media terms of use shall continue to apply.
Even after the contract is terminated, the history of service contents provided to paying members may be retained for a specified period and within a specified range as specified by the Company. If a new paid member registers during this period, the paid service history provided at the time of the previous contract can be transferred to the new paid member for the period and to the extent specified by the company. However, this is at the discretion of the company, and there is no guarantee that all paid service history from the previous contract will be transferred.

Article 9 Suspension of Use, etc.

If a paid member commits an act that violates or may violate the Media Terms of Service or this Membership Agreement, or fails to pay the usage fee, the Company may, without prior notice or demand, suspend or discontinue the use of the site by the paid member and the paid services provided to the paid member, in part or in full. In such cases, the Company may, without prior notice or demand, suspend or terminate the use of the site by the paying member, suspend or terminate all or part of the paid services provided to the paying member, or terminate this Membership Agreement. In the event of termination for any of the aforementioned reasons, the Company shall not refund any fees paid for use up to the date of termination. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by the member as a result of such termination.

Article 10 About the services provided

Details of the paid services shall be indicated on the page explaining the services provided, and members who wish to register as paid members shall confirm and agree to these services before applying for the paid services. Paid members shall understand that the contents and functions provided to paid members may be provided at a lower price or in a different format in the future.
