Ayumi Murase and Nobuhiko Okamoto appear in “Blood Donation in Hatachi” animation commercial!

(Reference) “Hatachi-no-Blood Donation” Campaign Starts on January 1, 2025! New animated commercials will begin airing|Press Release by the Japanese Red Cross Society, Blood Products Division

The Japanese Red Cross Society will conduct the “Hatachi no Hemodialysis” campaign from January 1 (Wednesday) to February 28 (Friday), 2025, to promote and raise awareness of blood donation.
As part of the campaign, a new commercial “What We Have” has been released.

Purpose of the Campaign

This campaign is designed to promote and raise awareness of blood donation among all segments of the population, especially the youth of ”Hatachi(20歳:20 years old)”, and to call for their understanding and cooperation in order to secure a stable blood supply during the winter season, when the number of blood donors tends to decrease.

A new commercial using animation has begun airing!

The new commercial “What We Have” will be aired on TV and on the web from January 6, 2025 (Mon.) to encourage more young people, especially young adults, to become interested in blood donation.

The 30-second and 15-second versions of the commercial have already been released on YouTube.
The video advertisement will be available on TV, YouTube, X, TikTok, and Instagram.

The main character “Shuto”, a university student, and his friend “Haruki”, who visit a blood donation room, suddenly realize through their usual casual conversation that they themselves are useful to someone (i.e., they are heroes), and their confidence in themselves is a little bit boosted. The animation depicts such a life-size “Hatachi”.

The characters are voiced by voice actors Ayumi Murase and Nobuhiko Okamoto. The worldview was created to encourage young people who are not yet familiar with blood donation or who have never cooperated to take the first step toward blood donation.

For the character design and animation, we used “UraUra Ura-chan,” a popular illustrator on SNS who can vividly capture fleeting moments and emotions in daily life, and guitarist/singer-songwriter Yamato Mori wrote the original song “通過点(TSUKATEN/Passing Point).

If you are not a HATACHI age, please ask at the blood donation place if you would like to calender.
