A memorial exhibition honoring Atsuko Tanaka, who passed away in August, will be held in her hometown of Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture. The memorial exhibition will mainly showcase the activities and background of the artist who breathed life into the character Motoko Kusanagi in “Ghost in the Shell,” “Detective Conan,” “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End,” and many other works, as well as the thoughts and feelings she held toward her hometown.
