Gorgeous Voice Actors and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra ParticipateMARO17, a men’s hair care brand developed by NatureLab Inc. has released a new animated commercial from November 25, 2024.
The new commercial was created as a sequel to the previous work, which won an international advertising award.
The main characters are voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya as “Yakumo Tetsu” and Mamoru Miyano as the new character “Shibuya Sakuchiyo “.
Shoji Inoyama and Takatora Shimada play the train hijackers and the old man, respectively.
The title of the new commercial is “You haven’t given up yet, have you? There is a 15-second version, a 30-second version, and a full version. The full version will be available only on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, and will include Hosoya’s voice.
The “MARO17 x GOETHE” video, in which Mamoru Miyano himself appears in live action, is also available.

MAPPA, an animation production company, was in charge of planning the commercial, and Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra wrote the music for the song “まだ、諦めてないだろ?(You haven’t given up yet, have you?)”.
The lyrics, which express Tetsu’s feelings of a broken heart in a masculine manner, are also worth watching.

| I created this film so that I could visualize the exhilaration and excitement of the MARO17 series. There were times when I felt like I was making an animation of a new series, but I was able to make it all the way through without forgetting that it was a commercial for shampoo. In addition to Tetsu from the first series, please enjoy imagining the relationship between him and Sakuchiyo from the second series and the world of the story. |
