Okaimono Panda, who has been familiar as the official character of Rakuten, will be adapted into an anime.*Okaimono means shopping in japanese. Background and Expectations of the Anime Adaptation The animation is part of Rakuten Group’s “Rakuten Content Central,” a content label that comprehensively produces intellectual property (IP) rights in Japan and overseas. Okaimono Panda is popular among a wide range of people because of its cute appearance and affinity with Rakuten’s services. It is hoped that the anime adaptation will help the character grow to be loved by even more people. Staff and Cast The production of the anime “Okaimono Panda! was produced by a splendid staff. The director is Shinji Takamatsu, known for his unique worldview. Series composition is by Higashi Shimizu, and character design is by Yasue Sosogi.
